This button never existed in Europe in Q8 until 2021MY where it is replaced by "P" button. This button now is a part of fully automatic parking system: Audi Park Assist Plus.

Well, it's not actually available anywhere in production vehicles. Audi gave up on rolling out the system. They were going to initially roll it out in Germany first, but it has proven too difficult to get required legislation passed, so the system was shelfed for now. There's no legislation anywhere for Level 3 self-driving and the liabilities that Audi could have faced if one of these cars had crashed or killed somebody while it was in self-driving mode would have been too risky and Audi's attorneys advised against rolling out the system.

This button is now dedicated exclusively to the automatic parking system. Instead of AI, it is now labeled with the letter "P". The system is called Park Assist Plus and you can order it from MY2021 with 360 degree cameras.

I just wish they pass the regulation and have our "dynamic HD headlight function".

Simple reason. Tesla Autopilot is still Level 2. The driver remains in charge and full control, even though the marketing name is misleading and many customers think it's more capable. If there's a crash, the driver is the responsible party. Clear line drawn. The Audi system is the first Level 3 production system. Level 3 is fully autonomous driving in limited situation. In case of Audi, it's fully autonomous driving in stop&go traffic. The car does all the driving and the driver can literally read the newspaper or watch a movie. The system is capable to warn well in advance when the driver has to take control again. If the car crashes the driver is not responsible, so there needs to be legislation in place that protects Audi, otherwise victims will start suing Audi as Audi absolved the driver from any responsibility if they say the system is Level 3. It helps to familiarize yourself with what the different autonomous driving levels mean. Up till now everything out there is at most Level 2.
