I can’t imagine one or both can’t answer...if go higher up the flag pole. I am sure Audi Canada has a dedicated team for data support similar to what they have for the US.

Thank you for contacting Audi Talk. We apologize for the delay in responding and appreciate your continued patience while we worked on your request.
Firstly, we would like to inform you that we do not have any type of subscription services for cellular data that comes with the purchase of a new vehicle.
Also, the SIM slot is used to establish an online data connection for Audi connect, Wi-Fi hotspot and to use as a telephone. However, while the North American vehicles are equipped with a universal faceplate, the SIM card slot on our vehicles is not active as the features are not available in the Canadian market.
Lastly, while Audi connect does not have a feature that allows you to access your emails, with Audi Smartphone Interface, you can unite your phone with the vehicle’s MMI to enable you to make and receive phone calls, compose and send messages, navigate and more, safely and quickly from the MMI controls.
Should you have any additional questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact us through our Customer Care Center at (800) 822-2834. We are open Monday through Friday 8:00am to 8:00pm, Eastern Standard Time.

Sigh. More idiocy. On that last point Audi connect does not have access to emails but it's built into the new mmi system and works off of Bluetooth messaging protocol with the phones.
