I'm sorta surprised I missed this, but in any event, I found a little trick.
This is the latest TSB on this issue: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...38212-0001.pdf
Note, in the TSB this TSB #: 2058831/9
Specifically the /9. I can't find a /10, or a /11, but I did get up to /9 after realizing the one I was reading was a /7 or something. So Googling my way around I found /9. No reference to the new P/N nor a reference to a BSG that 'fixes' things, so who knows if the new part actually resolves this issue.

Looking to buy a 2023 Q8 Premium Plus with build date of 08/2023. Dealer offering $9k off for leftover 2023 vehicles. I have a 2019 X3M40i which has been bulletproof and fast/fun, although it's not exactly a plush ride on New England rough roads. My wife and I both fell in love with the Q8 looks and ride quality yesterday, however, the BSG issue is causing me to have major concern that I should not buy a Q8. I'm even considering a Q7 with the 2.0 if the BSG issue does not affect the 2.0. I just want a plusher ride for travel. Would a Q8 with build date of 08/2023 still potentially leave us stranded one day with the random BSG failure? Do later build Q8's have the new BSG part number already? I may drive this between NH and GA occasionally and the thought of breaking down somewhere in between is not something I want to ever happen. We all buy nice new luxury vehicles so that we DONT have to deal with full breakdowns like this. Appreciate your input!

Thanks for the help. I may want to just upgrade to the SQ8 if I want the vehicle without the BSG issues. I love BMW but hate what they have done to the appearance of 90% of the new models. Only other vehicles I've considered are GLE53, GLE450, or Range Rover Velar, although the standard Q8 rides much better than both.

So today I received an error “Electric System Malfunction” message on the dash. Drone fine for the 5 minutes left in my drive. I turn it off, come back in an hour and the light is still there. There was a check engine light up top and the battery light at the bottom. After about 5 minutes of driving, I get a random rear light error message. Then, I get a system malfunction message, so a red warning light is on. Starting to look like Christmas again lol. At this point I started heading to a local dealer. But I didn’t make it. I noticed odd things like the auto start/stop not enabled. Then the speed sign sensor wasnt working, the car didn’t have much power, like limp mode, then the lane departure went, then the traction control system went, then the transmission something went. Whole ****ing electrical sent went. It told me to pull over slowly. I felt and heard a loud clunk as well. Of course I’ve pulled over by now. Called a local dealer, explained the situation, then I called Audi roadside to pick up the car. Tried to turn on the car when the tow truck was there, but the lights were doing some weird stuff. It rolled my driver side window down ??? Wtf. Anyways, tow guy was very cool and got it up on the truck. It’s at the dealer and hope to hear from them in the morning.
I’ve looked into the messages and I’m thinking it’s related to the 48 volt hybrid system in these cars. I think it’s worthless that they would implement this kind of technology in these cars. So unnecessary and more gimmicky.
just wanted to share my experience with you guys and I’ll keep you updated.

We currently have the same problem on our 2020 Q8. We live in Atlanta and the dealership Audi south Atlanta is covering cost to repair the 48v charger and starter. AoA has extended the warranty for this issue 7 years. I will keep you guys updated if we get a bill for the labor.
