Have I missed it or is it because there is no definitive answer out there yet?
The latest TSB excludes 2024 but it includes 2023.

Just called my service department, no joy yet for 2021 Q8/RS Q8 but he said "eventually" with no ETA.

I guess after the 2019/2020 batch, it will be our 2021/2022 batch.

Any indication if this service action would apply to those of us who have recently already had the starter Gen replace due to a failure. Anything to indicate this is a new part or software? Trying to understand if this means the problem is really fixed or just a replacement part to delay the inevitable.

I assume that if you have the "good" part already, this won't apply to you. I also assume that there wouldn't be a campaign to replace BSGs if the new part isn't at least better than the existing ones. I would expect the new part to last at least the warranty period.

Default Booked an appointment for alternator/generator replacement

Today I went to one of the Audi dealerships closest to my house. I went there to pick up a litre of engine oil for my 2019 Q8. While there I went up to a service representative and asked about the service action related to the alternator. Immediately the representative knew what I was talking about and asked for my VIN and he told me that there is a recall. Now I have an appointment for June 3rd to have my alternator/generator replaced.

A recall? Wish there was a Vin check for that- All i have seen is service bulletins and you have to have had the error code before they will repair. Would be nice if there was a preemptive recall.
