Had this electric system warning light Christmas tree happen today. Went to merge into the freeway from the on ramp. Accelerated pretty hard to pass and, Boom! All the warning lights turn on. And limiter goes to like 1k rpm. Luckily I was going 75mph and was able to coast safely to the shoulder.

I was able to shutdown the car and restart and drove along as if nothing happened. So weird. Hopefully it won't be a common occurrence.

Definitely not a good situation. If you are under factory warranty get it into the dealer right away as a covered repair.

Car at dealer now. Hopefully the APR tune isn’t even brought up.
Hey! Did they end up not covering the repairs due to your tune?
My 2019 A6 was flagged a TD1 and they are refusing to replace alternator, battery, etc, $6000 bill, due to tune.
Car died on the expressway after they performed inspection. It’s at the dealer now, awaiting call from Audi USA. So any info you have, please share!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻

The dealer has had my car for 10 weeks awaiting replace HV battery after total shutdown 2021 model). Anyone else awaiting batteries with No ETA? It appears new cars are still being delivered.

Are any of you willing to be part of a class action lawsuit regarding the bad alternator or better said “generators” in our cars?

Default 2019 A6, same thing just happened

2019 Audi A6, 50k kilometres. Last night I got the whole Christmas tree of malfunctions, one after another. Luckily I was close to home and managed to make it to the driveway. I got Audi Roadside to tow the car to the dealership. Waiting for them to call me back, need to press them for a loaner. Honestly given the number of people this is happening to I think we have a fairly strong case for a class action, although I'm in Canada.

We should all get together and file a complaint or a lawsuit! Screw Audi! They are well aware of the issue yet they dick most of us around and some of us who are unfortunate and no longer have warranty, have to pay out of pocket to the tune of around $4k.

I'm collecting info on those that have experiences this failure. Please provide your date of manufacture of your 2019 A6/7/8. I'm trying to build a correlation to manufacture date.

My date of manufacture (A7 Prestige, S-Line) is Sept 2018 (09 18) according to the specification sticker on the driver's door (not the door jamb or pillar). The system failed at about 37,500 miles on the odometer. Similar symptoms as yours.

Let me know what your trim package (Premium, P+, Prestige) and manufacture date are and we'll have more data points.

This just happened to me yesterday in my 2019 Q8 with 63,000 miles on it shut down while I was driving. I had towed to naughty dealer waiting to hear the bad news and the cost on Monday. Thanks for everyone for posting now I know the price is going to be high but what should I do with the car now.
