My Audi Q8 suffered the electrical malfunction issue feb 11 23 they just recently extended the warranty on the generator alternator 1/31/22 so anybody that had the issue and paid out if should seek reimbursement my car is still in Audi it’s a pos shut down n locked me and my son in the car now. They saying it’s a part shortage with no expected delivery time. Laying die the rental car out of pocket due to 3 month wait in loaner car Audiusa says it’s nothing they can do until the car is done. Tired of Audi service n cars r pos

So, if my car have PR code 0K0, then I have a conventional air-cooled starter-alternator that has no problems?

Yes, it seems. I assume you have an SQ8, in north america. I re read the TSB, it applies to address cc which only is used for the liquid cooled BSG. 0K0 code is on cars with the denso air cooled alternator. This issue won’t happen to you if you have an air cooled denso alternator.

How can I find out? Everything is too tight under the hood, it is impossible to just see the alternator.
I only see the following in the list of PR codes: 9G5 alternator 140–210 А
