Are you using 95 or 98 for SQ8?

Angry and I buying replacement parts got me thinking that we really havent come that far from our 1950 and 60s cars running around with spare parts in the trunk- lol. Now to only find an approved audi stow box for the back area that can hold the alternator. But seriously, how is that you can order the alternator etc, yet if your car is in the shop its taking 2 -3 months?

that is a very good read, Thank you!! the one item I see that is off is the HP rating of the BSG. 6 to 18 is very excessive for its size. It is smaller than a 1hp 90V industrial motor. The way lower voltage would mean a lot more current and larger wire inside thus a bigger shell. Just for reference a 10hp 240v dc motor is over 2feet long. Sure it is not rated for continuous duty but it sure can be active a lot during rush hour in a big city. Do that on a 90+ degree day with no airflow. It would definitely get very hot. Maybe their TSB lowers the cycles to make it less aggressive, who knows. I am for sure going to hitting the disable button every time.

Exactly my routine each start-up.
1. Start car
2. Wait until all system software has loaded - the Start/Stop seems to be the last soft button that comes up on the screen (on my A7)
3. Hit Start/Stop to disable
4. Go
The ICE will no longer cut out when approaching stop lights/signs since Start/Stop is enabled. We in the US market, however, do not have the ICE "coast" feature when at freeway speeds between 34 to 99 mph.

Thank you for your response - Is there a course of action you would recommend to me requesting before purchasing? It is a CPO - so hopefully they'll be willing to cover any of the issues upfront before delivery.
