Thanks for the heads up on how to identify the latest model. I hope it's the latest since that service part has been completed. I thought today was the day to pick up the car until I was notified about the Active Roll Module needing to be replaced.

The issue is well known and you can find a lot of information online. This problem concerns all Audi models with 48V MHEV system and BSG. Here is the thread from the German RS6 forum: https://www.motor-talk.de/forum/rs6-...79.html?page=7 The same engine and the same system as in RSQ8.
Check the version of new starter/generator which will be installed in your car. The BSG with part number with last letter "T" is a latest, upgraded version and so far seems that this version is trouble free.
BTW my dealer told me that currently the production of RSQ8 is suspended. He doesn't know why and for how long as the information which they received is only "due to the technical problems".

In case anyone was unaware, Audi is issuing an extended warranty on the alternator or as they call it “starter generator”. Audi USA sent out the letters earlier this year. I do not remember the warranty details but it was a pretty decent extension, I’ll post later when I find the letter.
But if you are like me and drive a lot, your 50k mile warranty was up in the first year and a half. My alternator and battery went out around 55k miles and I had to pay $7,500 to get it all fixed back in January of 2022. A few days ago I received a check from Audi USA for the total amount I spent, without any pushback.
This is a huge headache, but at least they are trying to make it right.

7 yr warranty means squat to me when I get stranded on the highway or in an accident when the thing quits. My wife refuses to drive the car. I bought an extended warranty specifically for when this issue would come up long before their 7yr came out. Just do a recall and fix it.
