FUEL BRAND???

You should use the fuel that is recommended by the car manufacturer because that's how the ECU was programmed. Fuel with a higher octane value than what the manufacturer recommends will not improve any engine performance, at most it will improve only the well-being of the car owner. However, in engines after tuning, fuel with a higher octane number is recommended to take full advantage of the engine modification possibilities.
Premium fuels such as V-Power have one additional advantage. It is an increased amount of a component that has washing properties and reduces carbon deposits on engine components.

"I read that if every consumer passenger car on the road was electric, the emission savings would be about 1%. "
Maybe you should do a little more reading. Depending on the state and the electric energy source, cradle to grave emission savings of EV over ICE can be in the 60 - 65% range.
