I must be the only one who doesn't experience the lag when I turn off the s/s. Certainly wasn't enough of an issue to cancel my order but also agree audi needs to address this asap.

I didn't cancel my order because there was a lag after I turned off the s/s. I decided not to pursue purchasing the Q8 and to buy the competition because Audi does not allow the owner, of this expensive luxury vehicle, to set the s/s default to "OFF".

Which competition did you find that does allow the s/s be turned off? I have found no such vehicle as yet.

328. I know that because I have one. Very disappointing that Audi would put its customers at potential risk by depriving the purchaser, of this very expensive luxury car, the ability to default the function to off. I will begin searching for a car that gives me the option to default it to off this Fall. Very disappointed in Audi.

How could you cross-shop the Q8 with the Macan? A Macan is a little hatchback, while the Q8 is a mid-size crossover. Macan is a Porsche and subsequently light on tech, whereas the Q8, well-equipped, is a techie's dream.

Yes to almost everything except. Have you driven a Macan ? The driving dynamics are amazing. It’s quick with the right engine and it’s tossable like crazy. Only reason not to get a porsche is upfront $ and maintenance cost.

You can get plenty of tech if your checkbook can handle it.

Lastly the Q8 is larger and that is why I wanted it. It’s great looking but the throttle lag is a deal breaker.

Im still here hoping for a fix so I can get one on my driveway The other shortcomings should get resolved but the throttle lag would be a daily frustrations and can be very dangerous.

Sound of the ... It is very easy to cross-shop an Audi with a Macan. I would just stop by the Porsche dealer and ask to drive a Macan. When Audi puts out a car, that I had wanted to buy, with such a glaring defect, I can easily look at any other cars that fit within my range. I cross shopped a $60k BMW with a $165K Maserati in this way. Very easy to cross-shop.
