Does anyone know if I would be able to check with VCDS if the update has been applied to my car yet? I bought it about 3 months ago but feel like the transmission is sluggish at times. Obviously don't feel like taking it in if I can check for myself.

Looking forward to picking it up later today.
What is the MMI update?

Just as a heads up, this update applies to the 2020 models as well. In fact, when I brought the car in for an oil change today, the SA told me they would be doing this to my car. So I didn't even have to ask for it (even though I was prepared to).

There is a way. Buy a BMW. Starting in 2015 they have a switch that turns *** off for good. I've seen the same button on models through 2019. Don't know about 2020 on.

I am at the dealer now, there are two software updates: Service Pack and a transmission update. Hopefully these updates will take care of issues.

And starting in 2021, *** can’t be turned off period on BMW’s!

What's the deal with manufacturers taking away options? I mean, really - it must tick some people off (I know it does me). It wouldn't if it was really unnoticeable, but it's definitely something which I don't care to have forced on me.

The *** button just isn't there anymore.

I did the two updates at the dealer today: Transmission Control Update 24702599 and Control Module Update 72872599. The car seems to accelerate a little better. They told me no way to turn off the Auto Stop/Start.

At the moment i am in a coutesy car its a 69 plate A5 Quattro S line i'm in my 7th week
of driving it and find the throttle lag to be on the brink of being dangerous.
i thought it was just me but after reading this thread i know i'm not alone.
i've been in situations where i want to turn right so i've stopped and been flashed to go
the delay has been that long the other car started to move again thinking i was still waiting.
i'm very dissapointed with this car i didnt expect it to be so awful
