I had the 91X4 campaign carried out recently - I haven't noticed any differences at this stage.

I just had the MMI + another firmware update. I think I may see an improvement in DAS but I need more time to be sure.

I’m getting the update done Thursday, but dealer did not elaborate on what is being enhanced.

It is interesting that my dealer called both updates "recalls" but I just brought my vehicle in for an oil & filter change and had received no notification of any recalls.

I had the same thing happen...no notice of a "recall" but I had taken the car in back in February for a solid blue console. They said there were no recorded faults but that a software update was coming by the end of March. I've had that "update" installed and this morning, I started the car and the entire console was black with nothing working. I restarted the car 3 times to get it to return to normal functioning. I haven't bothered to mention this problem to the dealer because I can't recreate the issue.

After a couple days driving, it seems my lane keeping assist is more sensitive. I’m gonna give it some more time, but it is almost overbearing, and due to Metro DC road construction, it is less than helpful.

I also think I see a difference in driver assistance lane centering which I disabled some time ago due to occasional abrupt swerves off the road. Since the two updates, the swerve has not happened and I have had centering enabled. Time will tell.

Just visited my dealer and asked about this update. He showed me the list of items it’s meant to correct. Holy crap, must’ve been 20 items at least! Some were performance improvements, some were new adds and some were to correct faults. Regardless, he agreed this was a major update and a must do for affected Q8 customers. Mine goes in tomorrow.

The 91X4 recall is a software update that preemptively addresses potential issues with the MMI. I am a technician at a SoCal Audi dealer and we just started doing these. I had an A6 where the function of rolling the windows down by holding the unlock button on the remote was not working. The 91X4 update resolved that. Sometimes Audi will come out with updates that remedy multiple issues.
