The lighted rings do require a fair bit of work in order to install. In addition to drilling/modifying the front ring bracket slightly for installation, the kit also requires you to tap into the headlight connectors and ground junction.
While the workshop installation instructions are thorough, I would strongly suggest having a workshop/dealership perform the installation.
Given that these lighted rings are specifically designed for the Q8 line, include a completely separate operating module, I would not consider it a fair comparison to anything else on the market at this time.
If anyone has any images of this installed on their Q8 please link it. I have a Carrera White with Sader Brown interior. Have the Gloss Black Handles and Mirror Caps. Was thinking of getting this done. Would do indefinitely if the rings were gloss black and not chrome but still want to see what they look like on a Q8 in a real-world application. Thanks!
Sorry forgot to add. I am hoping to see what it looks like in daylight and at night. Looks fairly blue in the pictures in terms of the light color. Hoping its more of a LED bright white.
