Do you mind sharing approx. what they charged you? You say it is still not loud enough - was it worth it? Did your dealer provide any opinion about how / if this affects your warranty?
there are dual brackets on the GPF’s and the dual pipes after the weld in pipes are a bracket in the middle welded on. The single hanger is plenty.

This cannot void warranty. Its post Cats/GPF on the exhaust.

Look up magnuson moss warranty act.

This is a quiet engine unless WOT.

Once you remove the cats, or put in some high flow 200 cell cats, it gets a lot louder.

Go to this YouTube video, they cut open the rear muffler. There's nothing in there except chambers, fewer chambers with the valves open.

Here's a screen shot of the muffler opened up.

Adding 200 cell downpipes or catless downpipes are the only thing to make this car louder.

This video just posted, a cat change out. Very good.

Thanks for the video and screen shot of the muffler. Looks like if the flaps are open all the time, will improve the sound as i am looking for!

I am not removing the cats for multiple reasons.

Yes, straight pipes back from cats/downpipes.

The end muffler is puzzling to me. It appears they use chamber resonance to suppress the sound.

I always thought with the valves wide open, that the muffler was bypassed and this was more or less straight pipes. you can see from the photo below, that isn't the case.

I wish this made more sense. The more I look at it, the more questions I have.

It looks like one side of the muffler is different than the other.

Does anyone know for sure? Simply keep the valves open and we are still subject to this chambering. Weird.

This guy says he has straight pipes. The way it crackles, it sounds like catless downpipes with a tune as well.

another video same car. Has to be tuned.

Definitely sounds like the downpipes were changed out to remove the factory cats. Also a tune is required when doing this.

Sadly, living in CA....not an option here.

it’s great without that resonator. Do it, you will not be sorry. Make sure you have the shop weld in a hanger (attached to both pipes) to replace the hanger that is attached to the resonator.

@1stRS did you only do the large resonator or have you taken out the two smaller ones up front as well? If so did it make an even bigger impact? Did it cause any drone on the highway at 90-100mph? Thank you!!
