Default Q8 without Carplay and navigation

Hey guys

I own an Audi Q8 2020 but unfortunately my car doesn’t have Carplay or Navigation system, so is there any chance that I can install them in my Car?

as my understanding that I should install Audi Smartphone interface to get Carplay so can I install it?

That's odd, based on the other Q in the family, I understand that the navigation is an option that you need to buy, but the Android Auto or CarPlay should come standard. Ask the guy that sold you the car and see.
Q8 has NAV, AA and ACP
Q7 has NAV, AA and ACP
Q5 no NAV but has AA and ACP

We are somewhat spoiled in the USA and North America as a whole, which is where I assume you reside. We get certain features standard, but the ROW has to pay extra for them. The smartphone interface is an option in most other markets and not standard. In Germany it's a 270 Euro option for example. The base models in North America are higher spec'd than in most other markets.

OP, you'll have to check with Audi in your country to see if the Smartphone interface can be retrofitted. I've heard that Audi is starting to allow to retrofit certain things and also make software features available for purchase after the fact. They are rolling this out in Europe at the moment primarily, but I could swear I read somewhere that the smartphone interface can be retrofitted. Most members on here live in the USA, and CarPlay/AA tends to be a standard feature on the premium/luxury cars here.

Yikes! I was assuming the OP lives in the States. It sucks that consumers in other parts of the world have to pay for that feature since we are living in the mobile phones age.

Well, it's not like we are not paying for it. It's just baked into the base MSRP here, but it certainly isn't free. Whenever Audi decides to make an option standard in later model years, they'll bump up the MSRP to cover it. No free lunch. In other markets consumers have more choice over which options they actually want, where in the USA individual options often get bundled together and you have to buy the whole package even if you really only want one of the options in the package. The bundling and packaging does overall make things cheaper, because it reduces the number of possible builds and that reduces the overall production costs. Cars do tend to be more expensive in other markets

You probably have navigation but in Saudi it simply doesn't work as the car is in European version. You can retrofit everything - this is just a matter of price and goodwill of your dealer. If they say that it is impossible try to find independent service specialised in VAG cars retrofitting. I am sure that you will find them in the net.
