Default Should a take the plunge for a new Q8

Good morning, The wife is currently looking at replacing her BMW M50i for a Audi Q8. She no longer wants a fire breathing dragon like the BMW and she has always loved my A8L. What do you all think about the Q8?

I've owned my 2019 Q8 Prestige since new. Due to the BSG issue, I would not recommend any Audi with the 48V MHEV system. The SQ8 does not have the issue.

Had a 2019 prestige Q8 and had zero problems put about 50k on it and loved it. Now have a 21 SQ8 which I love even more, also has had zero problems, both are great and I would highly reccomend. They are my fav cars on the road today.

My understanding is that this issue is solved with a software update (included in production from March 22 on) and and only if the warning is ignored and drains the 12V system does it cause damage to the starter/generator. Also, the service bulletin does include SQ7, SQ8 and RSQ8 among others.

This issue is not enough for me to recommend against getting a Q8. Fantastic cars.
