You are correct on the dealer trades. I wanted tow package and the dealer I ended up purchasing from had several SQ8 at the port, but none had tow. They tried trading on several SQ8's with other dealers and was not able to get the deal done. I ended up purchasing one that they had at port and installed the tow package once it arrived at the dealership.

I suspect your leverage will depend a lot on demand and supply in your local market.

I'm in the Boston area and just traded my '19 Q8 for a '21 SQ8, at a dealer from which I've purchased two Audis and one Porsche in the past two years. I got the $1500 from Audi, the 1.49% finance, and another $1500 off.

Not many SQ8s available here. Many dealers have units that were already sold or customer ordered from factory on their website, giving the false appearance that there were 10-12 available last weekend in metro Boston.

I looked all over the country for an SQ8 and found discounts in the east most likely with winter coming. Of course the shipping offset the discount. After all of this time looking my local dealer I’ve been going to for 15 years gave me $3500 off on my ordered SQ8. When it comes in if the $1500 is still available I’ll get that discount also. Order last month and not expected till April.

Maybe just get a 2020 S8
