I feel your relief. Congratulations on getting it back to normal!

Right on. Saved yourself a costly and uncomfortable trip to the dealer.

Hi guys, I have the same problem as OP, I wish I hadn't even bothered and my RS6 is now stuck in Air Suspension Mode.

I tried:

Programming mode > basic settings > Switch to normal level control function

This didn't solved my error codes and somewhat of a "limp mode".

I also couldn't find:

"DELETE CALIBRATION FOR LEVEL CONTROL"

Is there any way you're aware of to get it back to normal/stock using OBDEleven?

Many thanks.

Try active level control,” then “start up to normal level” or “start up to reference level.” You may need to be in program mode. That’s what fixed mine with this exact error. I have the notes on that above.

Thanks again for the help.

This didn't work for me, when I am in "programming" mode I get a red "Function Not Supported" error.

When I use "VW diagnostic" mode, I can get to the screen to Activate Level Control and swipe the activation, it thinks for a bit but the status goes back to "NOT ACTIVE". I was thinking maybe this is still activate, but then when trying to swipe startup in normal or reference level nothing happens and I have the fault lights and error message in the pic above.

You have an RS6.. Hmm, Is there a "SHOW MODE" APP for RS6 in OBD11? You could try that and see if it gets you out of whatever you got into.

ALSO, basic settings in 74 is where the Activate and Deactivate level control lives.. enter security code, go to basic settings and see if you can do either.

Otherwise, try again first entering the security code, then changing back and fourth between the service modes.

thanks for the help. Ended up going to the dealer, they were super nice about it and reset everything in about 30 mins. What I’ve learned is that if you’re not 100% sure what something does on obd11 do not activate it!

I didn’t read the post from 2014 you linked.
Are you still having issues, do you still need assistance? Try this and let me know what happens.

I came across this YouTube video, then checked my own coding via OBDApp and again via OBDeleven and have indeed confirmed that changing these values will indeed lower your car.

watch this video.

https://youtu.be/j1swKY_1UKg?t=146

Here are the steps for the Q8.

74 Chassis Control- Adaptation
Body height left front wheel house edge
--- subtract desired drop from existing value and place that number here.
Body height right front wheel house edge
--- same as above
Body height left rear wheel house edge
--- same as above
Body height right rear wheel house edge
--- same as above

BASIC-SETTINGS -

ACTIVATE LEVEL CONTROL

DELETE CALIBRATION FOR LEVEL CONTROL
(may need to enter security code, OBDeleven should provide for you)

START UP TO REFERENCE LEVEL
