My tire shop years ago told me that all they see is problems from wheel locks. I have not used them on my two previous Q5s for this reason and will likely remove the locks when I do my switchover to my winter setup in the Fall.
I stripped a lock on an A4 changing tires for a friend a few years back and that was under pretty decent conditions, they needed to go to the shop to sort it out.

this is one of those audi things i never understood. they want about 20$ a piece for the regular lug bolts. the porsche cayenne bolts are better and 10$ a piece. the set of 4 bolt locks for the cayenne is 95$. incidentally the cayenne bolts come silver or black. no bolt covers. i bet they are the same size bolts.
