Long shot: Do ever you let your kids eat in the car? If so, do they drop food? The foot vents under the seats are uncovered and unprotected, so it's plausible to have a piece of food roll in there and stink up the car.

Second shot: Replace your cabin filter and see if that helps.

Where is the A/C drain hose located? I am concerned I don’t see any condensation exit my car after the car has been running. Wondering if I have a clog.

With it happening on two different cars, I would investigate the potential child issue with a happy meal stashed under the seat.

Agree, w 2 cars, issues could be environmental. something specific to the geographical location where the vehicle resides (outside under the same tree w plugged drains or the same mouse family near by) or same users/ passengers (kids dropping a particular snack or liquid item)

If HVAC isn't set to AUTO you will get buildup of moisture in vents that will smell and will ultimately move to fabric etc.

We are waiting for the OP's answer, who fell silent and we are still discussing. It seems to me that we are more committed to solving the bad smell problem than the OP
This is too new car for bad smell coming from A/C ducts. And the way the air conditioning is set doesn't matter - could be manual or auto setting. There should be no unpleasant smells in the car as described by the OP. Plastic elements of a new car, glues or varnishes used in production may smell but it is an easily recognizable, chemical smell.
As I wrote before: it may be the smell of mold under the carpet related to the accumulation of moisture due to a clogged sunroof or air conditioning condenser drain.
And of course, it can be the result of leaving some surprises in the car by passengers (small or big) or external factors.

If HVAC isn't on auto , in a humid and warm climate you could get mould etc anywhere. Where is OP?
