Audi R8 versus Lamborghini Gallardo

The differences are many.
The G has torque everywhere and all of the time. Give the gas pedal a tiny prod and the thing just leaps! On the other hand, that torque makes the chassis feel a bit clumsy at times. It just doesn't talk to you the way the R8 does. But it is a certifiable exotic, which is not a claim the R8 can make just yet. Need to get an '06 or later for the nose lift system or getting in and out of driveways is a real challenge. The "comfort" seats are power all around, rather than just the fore and aft travel. Virtually no storage, with room for a briefcase, and that is it.
The R8's proportions are not as nice IMHO as the Gallardo, but it has a bit more room up front (not by much), and more room in the cabin (considerably). By the torque coming in at higher rpms with the V8, the chassis seems much more adjustable under the throttle, and very sweet in corners. But if straight line speed is your thing, the G is the logical choice.
