I found this photograph posted by Erik on the RS6 forum. Very interesting photograph showing some interior details. Definitely different than the LeMans concept car, the Lamborghini Gallardo, or any other Audi.
Thanks Erik!

Audi would never style AC vents like that...I hope. Personally it doesn't flow with the "character" of the R8.
I hope thats not an accurate portrayal of the interior

Hopefully it flows with the rest of the interior... It just seems quite large and "wierd shaped" for an AC vent after seeing the beautiful vents inside the new TT.

The TT is a legacy car, too much change and it is no longer a TT. The R8 is not and the Audi is very to explore new design concepts that will appear throughout the rest of the model range.

Roadjet interior

john, i don't think that particular car is anywhere near prod ready. the gap lines between the body panels (lower edge of the aluminum panel and the door panel) are huge, for one.
damien, 2953 did say he went for a ride in one of the prototypes and that its interior was nowhere near being production ready.
i personally think that it would be very unlike audi to produce an unsightly interior in this car, its new flagship. that ugly, big vent we see could be pure sex if it is brushed aluminum, for example...esp. if set around the right combination of textures and contrasting colors. that might be a bad view of it.
all in all, none of these facts really rules anything in or our regarding what that picture shows. it might or might not be it. but that is no p-shop.
these are just my observations.
ah. the bittersweet love of cars. burns doesn't it?
ps- the R8 support group meeting is at my place same time, same place this week guys. i'll bring the go-go dancers to cheer us up.
