R8 option codes
Does anyone have access to the option codes (in Germany) for the R8. There are several options available at the initial orders here in the US that were dropped after a while, such as the carbon sideblades (code 6H3), however if the option code is known I think there may be a way to order it????

The carbon sideblades are essentially backordered.
You can get them painted a different color though, and one was just spec'd from the dealer here as black (painted) instead of silver or body colored.
If it is the carbon blades you want, I think you are out of luck for now - though you should be able to switch to them in the future. If you look on the more european based R8 forum (R8talk.com) you will see the same lamentation.
I have the 2008 R8 order guide, but it is US.

what confuses me is that in Germany it appears you can get them
and also the interior and engine comparment Carbon fiber elements as they were on the Autoshow cars earlier this year. I am guessing this based on the Configurator on the german site, www.audi.de and there was a company that I found taht sells the replacement parts her in the US (for a lot of Money) so apperantly they are obtainable but Audi of America decided not to offer them...

As far as the German market is concerned, you CAN order the CF sideblades...
...<font color="003366"> and then your order goes into a kind of purgatory.
As backorder parts are delivered, orders are sequenced on a one by one basis. Customers are told they wont have a build date for their cars until parts show up.
Like is said, it's really order purgatory. And that's a situation AoA (and no sensible vehicle distributor) would deal with.</font>
