Default Water leaks

Has anyone had any experience with water leaking into the engine compartment during a rain storm or car wash?

Default there are open vents into the engine bay

any water that is sprayed with any kind of force at those openings or at the vent on the spoiler will end up in the engine bay.

likewise, strong wind sending rain towards those open vents will drive water into the engine bay.

for washing, you need to either make sure the wash spray water is traveling over the vents rather than into them or else employ a different technique to wash that section of the car.

Default

the vents are a bugger even if you wash by hand. Be prepared to do some serious mopping after washng

Default On the Ferraris I place a couple of oversized towels over the engine before washing, to diminish

the collection of water.
