02 A6, speakers depth and size of tweeter

02 A6, speakers depth and size of tweeter
thinking of upgrading the speakers. i know up front are 5 1/4, rear are 6 1/2. just wanted to know the depth for clearence and the size of tweeters up front and in the back.
Should I amp? or a pair of MB Quart Reference running of the stock amp will sefice in SQ? Kinda on a budget, I'm a college student. looking to spend around $350 to $400 for everything.
PS i did a search, just found what speakers people are putting in, not the depth.

Easy, Dmeech...
I went through the same thing you did about a year ago researching the exact same thing. You have to learn that the folks on this Audio forum, such as Avincar, know more than what sounddomain or crutchfield will tell you. People on this forum have been there done that, and know from firsthand experience. I have an '01 A6 and 6.5"s drop right in. As for depth, I want to say it was 2 5/8" or something thereabouts.

To me the crutchfield and sound domain's "online system's" are a little bit misleading.
