Default 04+ Symphony II with Sat. radio (Audi Collection catalog $400)

I posted this article on the B6 forum and got no response. Anyway, the Fall/Winter 2003 catalog is rather nice. Just curious, not sure if this can be done but is it possible to integrate the '04+ Symphony II w/Sat radio into a 2002-2003 model car and upgrade it to XM (or Sirius)? (with or without the shark fin)

I have another car to which I would like to transfer my XM setup to, and this would thus enable to free-up the ashtray for something else.

I wonder why AoA is selling these new radios as an ad-on. Don't these radios come stock and XM or Sirius get added on at port?

Can I see either a wiring diagram or picture of both '02/'03 and '04 radios (back) please? Any other opinions or feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Why would you pay THAT for THAT? I am desperately trying to get rid of my Symphony.

If your reason is just to get XM, go to www.autotoys.com and you can get a kit that has the Pioneer XM setup, antenna, and a special interface. It will make the XM controls work through the head unit, almost as if it were built in stock. That setup costs about $300.

Default i have dropped the idea altogether

i already have Alpine's XM unit and have a Blitzsafe adaptor for other A/V sources so the CD changer option is taken,
