Default 2 chanels radio to 4 speakers

Hi
can someone tell me what can go wrong (besides losing the fader function) if I connect a radio with an internal 2 channels amp to 4 speakers front + rear.
Thanks

try it and see. technically, nothing should go wrong. you are simply dividing total power by two, so 50w x 2 would give you (+,-)25 x 4.

Default the nominal impedance load is different......

for multiple speakers on the same circuit.

With two speakers wired in parallel two 4 ohm speakers will present a 2 ohm load
With two speakers wired in Series two 4 ohm speakers will present an 8 ohm load
Etc.

so you have to check the requirements of the amp to see how it is affected by the load placed upon it.
