I'm looking at doing a JL Audio e4300 amp to power 2 pairs of MB Quart RCE-216s, with the front pair mounted component, and the rears coaxially. Read a lot where MBs drop right into factory locations on A6s from numerous posters. Later this year maybe add another amp and sub for good measure. Going to keep stock head unit though. Might add a phatbox or hardwire ipod connection as well depending upon funding.
Now, about that hole next to the battery? Is it right next to the battery on the right as you face the engine bay underneatht the plastic molding? Looks like you would have to cut the nipple off before running any wire through it.

You took off that long plastic cover right? So the battery and I believe the brake fluid reservoir are in the open... Facing the battery, to the right on the angled part of the firewall. Black circle, bout the size of a quater, with a lil nipple on it.
If you pull on it and wiggle it around it will pull right out. Cut it with a knife to match your wire.Be sure to not cut it too big. You actually want to cut it to be a little bit smaller than your wire so it will fit nice and snug.
A tip/trick I used was a long screw driver and a very bright LED flash light to see underneath the dash. Poked that screw driver through (not too hard) and went back around underneath the dash to see where it came through. Works like a charm![Big Grin](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
I completely fed my wire through the entire car before I put it back into place.
Hope this helps, would have loved it if someone else knew what I now know before I started, but then again it wouldnt have been as much fun trying to figure it out myself.... :P
