Default 2005 B6 Bose wire tap diagram or wire colors needed

I have all the info to use factory Bose wiring for new amp, problem is that I went to my Avant and clicked open the connector and there are tons of ports.

Question is:

Do I untape the back of the connector and tap the wires themselves or plug the RCA and remote wires into the metal connector ports?

I found a diagram of connections but it doesnt look like the complex one I have. Can I just go by color:
-Brown/white to positive Right back
-Brown/green to negative Left back
-Not sure what wire common ground is to tap twice??
-White wire on hookend side is remote wire

Pretty lost here, any help would be great, dont want to short my car out!

I still havent unrapped the wires that are on the back of the Bose connector to see if these are correct colors, only going off the colors that audiforms.com post suggested but with wrong connector diagram.

Thanks guys, really trying to do this myself and not spending $100 and having some random in my car installing it.

PS If I have alternator noise and need to get ground loop isolator, where do I connect it? Not sure what inline with RCA's means??

Default This is what i did

unplugged the harness, stripped about a cm of each wire that i needed to tap. tapped it and insulated with electrical tape. the ground for the L&R is the same so just tap it twice. I never pulled any of the wires out of the harness, no need and was worried about not hooking it up correctly again. if you undo the tape that the harness is wrapped in it makes it much easier to work with.

Default Re: This is what i did

Thanks for the advise! That is what I thought, are the colors I suggested for each wire correct?

How did you know what one was the ground to tap twice?

Did you have ground loop problem?

Thanks!

Default When you tap the signal at the amp you'll end up with standard RCA plugs

these plug into the GLI and then the GLI feeds the amp

Default Not sure what the GLI is? I need to know if I tap the wires going to Bose amp...

will this give me the low level I need to have the amp work?

Also, I need to know the easy way to identify the wires to tap into for R/L, ground and remote.

Thanks for the help guys!

Default Thanks! No I have to figure out what to splice, etc.

Also need to go to my car and take off the tape from the back of the connector around the wires and see what I am looking at...

Default I assume I cant tap the power wire, would make it easier but...

Probably a good idea to run that 8 gauge power wire to battery for a new 250w amp??

If I disconnect battery with wrench I wont get shocked, correct??

Total Newb I know

Thanks again for all the help doing the whole thing tomorrow.

I already broke some of the plastic so the connector to the Bose system doesnt connect 100% secure...might need some duct tape for bumps....
