Are 5 1/4 inch Coaxials that much better than 4incher...

Im looking to get 4 inch JL coaxials but it seems that everyone gets the 5 1/4 which are at least another $100 not including having to get adapters, just wondering if they are that much better?

Yes, spend the extra dough to get 5.25"s. 4"s produce 0 midbass.

I'm not saying don't do the 5.25"s, but don't expect much midbass from them either
