A4 - can't find CD changer wire
I want to install a CD changer in the trunk of my 2001 A4 1.8T, unfortunately, I can't for the life of me seem to locate the cable that I am supposed to have. I checked the window sticker that came on the car when it was new and it says "pre-wiring for CD changer and telephone." Anyone else have this problem?
I took it to the dealership and they can't find it either, they said it might be up inside and they would have the take the inside panel of the trunk out. I have this other connector they are saying is for "Phat Sounds." Anyone familiar with this? Should it be in a nearby vicinity?

Re: Cable is behind the trunk vanity panel, left side. PHatBox cable is the same as changer cable
The PhatBox cable appears to be a rectangular cable that looks not unlike a SCSI cable. The changer cable is supposed to be a round little thing - it looks almost like a MIDI cable from the pictures I have seen. If I have a PhatBox cable, does that mean I don't have a changer cable?

Re: you sure that's not the old DB-25 cable for the phone you speak of?

Here's a picture. It is in the upper right corner of the photo. It is definitely a DB-25 cable. You can see that there is no changer cable in sight.
What kind of phone connector? And where would the changer cable be if this is for a telephone? It definitely has it because I have the original window sticker and it says it is wired for CD changer.

took apart the trunk side panel - still no cable
Well, I took apart the entire side panel in the trunk (that felty stuff) and there is still no CD changer cable to be found. I guess the window sticker lied 
I found what I presume to be the amplifier, but nothing else anywhere in there.
It appears I am out of options. No CD changer cable for me. Boo!

Still no CD changer cable.
Unfortunately, as you can see from the photo, it isn't there. I took apart the side panel of the trunk. Not there. I have an appointment for the Audi dealership to look for it tomorrow. Hopefully they can find it.
