Which add on unit will let me play my non-Ipod mp3 player on my 2006 A3 3.2 Symphony II?

Hi,
I got tired of using the cassette adapter to play the songs from my mp3 player on my 2006 Audi A3 w/Symphony II (non-Nav). I was wondering what possibilities are available to me. I would prefer a unit that interface via my non-Ipod's USB interface in either MTP or MSC mode and play the WMA music files that's already on it.
I read about Phatnoise mentioned but I don't want to have a separate non-portable MP3 player in addition to the one I already have.
The few I noticed has its limitations. One that seems to be be around in Europe that reads of USB, but it needs the folders to be laid out under CD01...CD06, and each one acts as a CD under the changer.
I noticed there is the Dension Gateway 300, which provides much of the required functionality, but it is not talked much, and there seem to be problems with it(?). Is this unit a viable solution? If not, are there anything else out there that could provide what I am looking for?
Aux input units would be my last choice since it would provide as much integration as my cassette adapter, but at least it would provide the best sound quality.
