Prodigy

I have a prestige alarm on this vehicle I just bought...the vehicles battery seems to have died and now I cannot start the car (even with my jumper box on the battery). When I try to start the car I hear a clicking from under the dash (I assume the alarm brain). I think somehow when the battery died it messed with the alarm, anyone have any ideas what to try ? I'm on the verge of just ripping the alarm out, would that be bad
