Default amp /speaker help

Hi, please chime in with your .02 regarding an upgrade I will have installed in two days:

A Sony Xplod XM-1805 5 channel amp (I think 880w, 75w x4 plus 150w) to power stock front speakers, new 6.5" JL Audio TR-600cx rears (vs Boston Acoustic)
plus removable encased sub in back (prob JL 8" or 10").

My main question is, is the sony a good 5 ch amp, and has anyone replaced rear speakers and left stock fronts and been happy with result?

the sony's look like a decent amp and they've got good specs for the price. however you'd probably want to consider aftermarket speakers in the front and removing the stock rear deck speakers completely to allow bass from your sub to enter the cabin better. if you carry a lot of passengers in the back you might want to stick to your original plan because the rear seats will get a lot of bass and no treble. just plan on upgrading the front speakers because you'll blow the front stock drivers very shortly trying to compete with a sub. unless you like to listen to it at low volume....
