Default Amp/sub question..

Okay.. Im going to wire this thing once I get my cables and car back..

Eclipse says my sub is 3.1ohms per coil, and its a DVC so.. its.. 6.2ohms.. right?

In my amp book, they recommend that the impedance for mono channel should be a 4ohm min..

now.. the dynamic power rating at 14.4volts for my amp is 690watts when mono into a 4ohm load..
How can I calculate the load when the sub and amp are wired in mono form.. Id have to wire it in mono.. Right?

If I set it up in stereo operation, the impedance for each channel should be 2ohm min.. The amp is a 2 channel amp..

Sorry folks.. I kinda aswered this question before.. But I just want to know exactly how I calculate the load..

thanks..

Default When

wiring it in series.. that is consider a mono hookup?

Also.. I was looking at my Rockford Fosgate DVC sub, it seems as though there were wires going from the amp to the sub, and then another set of wires that wrapped around the sub to another set of connectors.. : / On my eclipse DVC.. I don't have another set of connectors for that second set of wires.. So does that mean, the sub came from the factory with that second set of wires already hookup?

Default the eclipse is internally wired in parallel by defualt - you can change a jumper or two to switch to

series. check the owner's manual for details
