Amplified Subwoofer question

I just purchased the Infinity Baselink amplified subwoofer. I followed the FAQ for the non-bose installation. The wire colors seemed identical for my 01 1.8t. However, when it stated to disconnect the blue wire harnes from the circut board on the drivers side rear speaker and tap the wires for the sub with the modified RCA leads. Once completed, should I plug the blue wire harnes back into the circut board or leave it unpluged?
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks for the reply. Did you connect a wire from the white wire on the rear speaker bundle to the remote terminal on the subwoofer? For some reason, whether I have the remote wire hooked up or not, the sub has power to it before the ingition is tunred on. I can hear it humming and am afraid to turn the car on. I've got the power and ground cable run, plus the RCA cable modification hooked to the respective speaker bundle wires per the FAQ. What am I doing wrong?
Much Thanks,
Dave

When you have the system all set up, would you kindly post your impressions on it, and your setup? I'm considering getting the Basslink too, but have not read very much information regarding this little unit.
Thanks.
Thanks.
