Default Amplifier issues

So I installed a pioneer mono-amp for my subs along with an alpine deck in my 2000 Jetta. I am having issues with the amp staying on and drawing 12V with the ignition turned off and it is draining my battery. I connected the blue/white remote wire from the alpine wire harness to the remote terminal on the amp.
Any suggestions?

now im not an expert on jetta's but to my knowledge you connect your remote wire to the a blue wire, not a blue/wire wire. Just a guess. Try looking for wiring guide or trial and error. One of the wires coming off that harness that clips into to HU will be a remote.

Good luck

upgrade to 4 guage, get an extra battery and get a cap, that will take care of all of your dimming issues, well that is if you didnt damage your alternator already, have that checked just to be safe.
