Here's a picture of some DIY interconnects I made and plan to install in my car.
I used Mogami quad microphone cable, techflex, and Eichmann Bullet Plug connectors. I A/B tested them with a set of Monster Interlink 250 cables and heard just a very slight difference in midrange response.

Those silver interconnects are pretty nuts but the wire is $$$ so I passed on that.
