Check the Birth Certificate. Rockford amps used to be severely underrated.
My Punch 100ix (circa 1994) was rated at 50x2 or 200x1, but measured at 350x1 (not sure of the stereo measurement, but higher than 50 watts).
That's why RF used to be the amp of choice for competitors - more power in a lower competition class.
