Huh? Isn't it already in there? 99.5 came with Symphony, didn't it?

Default Hmm. Didn't know that. If you're changing, why not go aftermarket? Symphony pretty much sucks.

The SQ is mediocre, there are TONS of "gremlins", they fail all the time, etc. Just my $0.02. If mine died and I was out of warranty, no questions - I'd be in an aftermarket unit.

Default Hmm, main reason is that it isn't silver with blue/green lighting like all the aftermarket decks out

I haven't seen an aftermarket deck that I thought would look nice and keep the black/red thing going.

Default There are some, but none are ideal . . .

I know what you mean - that's why I haven't swapped mine out. The best match I've seen is a unit by Becker, but it's expensive (I think around $600), and no word on its sound quality. Other than that some people say there's a model or two of Kenwood units that sort-of match, and I think even a Sony.

Default why not keep the concert head unit and upgrade the rest?

With a good amp, good speakers, and maybe some equalization, the concert head unit sounds pretty good (to my deaf ears, that is)

Default Yeah, I can't see that the Symphony would be much of an upgrade

I especially wouldn't PAY for one; maybe if someone gave you one . . .
