Any instructions on putting the Symphony head unit in a 99.5?

Hmm. Didn't know that. If you're changing, why not go aftermarket? Symphony pretty much sucks.
The SQ is mediocre, there are TONS of "gremlins", they fail all the time, etc. Just my $0.02. If mine died and I was out of warranty, no questions - I'd be in an aftermarket unit.

Hmm, main reason is that it isn't silver with blue/green lighting like all the aftermarket decks out
I haven't seen an aftermarket deck that I thought would look nice and keep the black/red thing going.

There are some, but none are ideal . . .
I know what you mean - that's why I haven't swapped mine out. The best match I've seen is a unit by Becker, but it's expensive (I think around $600), and no word on its sound quality. Other than that some people say there's a model or two of Kenwood units that sort-of match, and I think even a Sony.

why not keep the concert head unit and upgrade the rest?
With a good amp, good speakers, and maybe some equalization, the concert head unit sounds pretty good (to my deaf ears, that is)
