The previous owner had a Kenwood deck, which I had replaced with an Eclipse 55040 CD/Tuner head unit.
Since then, the FM reception has been terrible. I definately expected better out of a $600 radio. There were no problems with the Kenwood's FM reception.
I replaced the amplified antenna adapter thinking the old one was bad, with no change.
Has anybody had a problem with Eclipse or other radios?

I live on Long Island, so it is not like I am very far from any of the stations I listen to. AM for the most part is aweful and FM is about an 80/20 proposition whether it will be listenable.
I have been told it is the Audi antenaes in the glass that is the problem. Who knows for certain.
