tap the line level inputs going into the Bose amp instead. I just changed my setup last night and the Bose amp presents all kinds of crap into the signal and if you tap at the speakers and use a converter you are picking that stuff in your amp.
I changed mine tonight and the Bass hits so much cleaner. I especially noticed it at low volume. The Bose amp equalizes the signal at low volume and adds more bass to the rear deck speakers when you turn the volume down to make it sound better. Well if you are tapping this signal all of a sudden my sub would get boomy at low volumes because of what the Bose amp was doing.
Anyway long story short the difference is very very noticable. You'll have to turn the gain up a bit more on your amp but its all good.
Just thought I'd share my experience and some of you probably allready know this.
