...noise coming into the cabin via the trunk, and also helped keep stereo sound in, rather than going out to the car next to you! The trunk is really easy to wrok with, since most of the carpeting and everything comes out fairly easily (atleast it did in the 90Q). There really isn't any need to pay someone to do it. I put the dynamat in the very sides on the inside of the exterior sheetmetal (usually there are places you can reach through), along the bottom of the trunk, inside the trunk lid (under the inside cover), and under the rear shelf.
As a general rule, I only installed it in the openings between the trunk lid frame, where it would be attached to the outside sheetmetal. That way I wasn't trying to wrap it around the frame supports, and the interior cover fits back on better. It takes a long time to do it right, but it's worth it. Also, your car will stink inside for awhile; especially if it gets hot. The smell will go away after a few weeks though.
Charles

I also heard that it stinks like tar when it gets hot. Someone told me to look at another product called Accumat. I guess it doesn't give off that tar smell... and it works just as well.

Whatever it was, it has a shiny side like aluminum foil, and it doesn't smell. I thought the dynamat type stuff was a little easier to cut and install and looked better, but most of it gets hidden anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter. Well, off to LA. I better go!
Charles

you apply it hot, so it fits better. We coated my integra for show here in Houston (hot humid all the time) and the car never smelled. I used accumat a few places in the car only because it was available, and it works fine too, the level of accumat i had was thinner than my dynamat. Just remember how much weight you are adding to your car, it doesnt seem like much but both of those products are heavy when used in quantity, we added almost 250lbs to the integra.
Just something to think about.
