anyone know if the symphony II out of an a6 will work properly in an A4?

Default B6 no, B5 somehow
In the B5 is a somehow close match (some gaps letft and right though and probably different faceplate color) but the 4B faceplate doesn't fit the B6 at all.

the symphony II on a a6 is different size then one on an a4>???? REALLY>??

Yes, A6 units are wider and less tall
