So since I don't use a head unit (using a Clarion linedriver/EQ receiving signal from a car computer) I don't have a remote turn-on lead from the HU to go to the amps. What can I tap into that will give me a 'simulated' remote lead?
I assume I can't just run a switched 12v line into the remote amp input or it will blow something right? I need a switched power of about 3-4 volts??
Anyone have any ideas? thanks

Do you have a switch that sends 12 volts to your car computer? If so, just send that 12 volts to your amp remote turn-on. Very simple...unless you want a time-delay circuit to delay the amp from turning on until the computer boots up. But even that is not really too hard.

sweet - ok I was just looking for verification. Yeah I think I will use a time delay relay to get the amps to turn on after the computer.
