Anyone try the SoundGate or PIE alternatives to the Blitzsafe adapter for MP3?

If so, how do they compare quality wise? TIA
I'll be getting one to hardwire my ipod.

I've got the PIE adapter and an iPod and they work great together. 10 allroad
