Default Anyone very familiar with Diamond Audio ?

Looking for ideal setup using Diamond Amps, subs and door speakers. We currently have a setup with four JL 10" free air subs built into my S4's rear deck now.

Give me the "money is no object" suggestion, please !

Default are you going for sound quality, or volume, or show?

sound quality

- diamond audio hex s600s front components
- diamond audio tdx 12d4 sub woofer in a 2.5 cube SEALED enclosure
- diamond audio D7056, 1 channel for the tweets and 2 channels bridged for the mids running active
- diamond audio D7401 for sub, 800x1 @ 2 ohms

volume
- diamond audio hex s600s for front components
- 2 diamond audio tdx 15d4 sub woofers in a BIG ported enclosure (2.5 cubes each tuned to 35hz)
- diamond audio 7152 for front components
- diamond audio 7402 for subs

show
- diamond audio hex s600s for front components & rear components
- 2 sets hex s600s on the trunk lid between your screen where the safety triangle is.
- 8 cm3 08d4 wired to 4 ohms all fiberglassed into the trunk firing out.
- diamond audio 7402 for subs
- 2 diamond audio 7152 for 4 sets of components.

Default if i had to do it all with diamond audio,

here's how i'd do my car...

s500s components fiberglassed in kickpanels with s6.0mx3 midbass addon in factory location in the door

s600s components in rear door

1 TDX12D4 in a sealed enclosure

D7104 running the fronts (2ch for midbass, 2 ch for mid/high)

D7152 running the rears (probably keep the gains down, as this would just be rear fill)

D7401 running the sub

and i dunno if diamond audio makes caps, but you'd probably want one for each amp for a system like this

Default What are you trying to accomplish? Show car? SPL? SQ?

I'm currently in the process of setting up a SQ system with all Diamond Audio equipment. Price is a factor for me, so I'm using the D5 series amps instead of the D7s.

Default Re: Anyone very familiar with Diamond Audio ?

We sold diamond at the store i used to work at. The Diamond THX is a very nice sub. all you need is one 12". you'll be able to achieve over 150db with that sub alone. that is using their box design. It has a 42" slot port. If you call them, they will fax you the sheets if you get a thx sub. Use their 1200w mono amp on the one sub, It'll be fine. their m6 components are also very good. all around, they make very good stuff, their amps are a little larger than most, but it's great quality.
