Apple Carplay disappered on my 2018 Audi S5

I recently purchased an Audi S5 Coupe from Seattle Audi and I’m quite pleased with the vehicle. Unfortunately there has been a good learning curve trying to master Audi MMI and Apple Carplay. I am running and iPhone X (iOS 11.2.6) that I paired with a USB cord that came with a charging kit from Costco. Worked fine for about 6 weeks until yesterday. Apple Carplay has now stopped functioning entirely and does not show up on the MMI display screen. I even rebooted and restarted my iPhone but still no luck. The cord looks like it is charging. I even changed USB ports but no luck. I then went into my iPhone and tapped on “Forget This Car” in an effort to re-pair the phone with the car. All I get is a spinning wheel which is trying to discover my vehicle. Now it can't even find the Audi. May try a new cord and see if that is the issue. Ganz kaput as they say in German. Any suggestions? 1.Go to Settings > General > CarPlay > Tap on Forget This Car

2.Connect your phone via USB to your radio

3.Pair your phone with your radioagain

4.Restart your phone

5. No Luck!
