Audi A4: 1996 - Which wire is ignitive live? - for CARK 112 (CK-W1) Bluetooth car kit
Hi,
I have an aftermarket Kenwood head unit which was installed professionally, but have recently fitted a CARK 112 kit myself. The Cark 112 unit powers up fine, but the blue wire in the CARK 112, needs to be connected to the wire which senses the ignition. This is so that the Car kit doesn't drain the battery.
Does anyone with a 1996 A4, know what colour in the wiring diagram the ignition live will be?
Any help would be really appreciated.
Cheers, Lee

You can either pick it up from the HU or the fuse box
HU - it is the wire going to ignition on for the Kenwood. It is normally the 3rd pin along from the earth on the power ISO but this is wrong for most aftermarket HU so you may find it has been swapped for perm live (which is above the earth)
On the fusebox it is the fuse called Radio (S-Kont). Double check what the manual says against the fusebox layout on the inside of the fusebox cover, the manual is not accurate, the cover is.
