this must've been asked before but I am now to the forum and can't find a previous thread that matches my subject...so here it is.

I just bought a 2001 a6 2.7t yesterday and it has symphony single disc cd + tape deck with bose speakers.

my question is: I want an aftermarket deck, is it just a straight deck swap? in my experience, cars with bose systems are pain in the asses to swap out the deck.

also, since the slot is obviously double-din, what are some of the good looking installs or kits that are available for this car??

any help is appreciated.
